Get Better

As a player I have one in particular task each time I step on the basketball court to train. That one thing is to get better. Whether it’s improving my left hand, making my spin move quicker, or increasing my vertical, I simply can’t leave the gym without getting better.

The easiest way to get better is to be disciplined enough to manage your gym time effectively. I learned at a young age, if you want to accomplish something, write it down and check it off the list as you go. So I try to write down how many shots I want to make, how long I want to dribble, what drills I need to work on, and be specific as possible so that I don’t waste a second in the gym. The worst feeling in the world is leaving practice or a workout feeling like you didn’t get better. Make the most of your time and you will see the difference.
