Good or Great?
Don’t settle for good, rather go for GREAT! Achieving GREATNESS starts with your mentality. So many young players want to play college or make it to the NBA. The only way this will happen is if you decide in your mind to develop GREAT habits. Getting to practice early, staying after practice to shoot free throws, being first in every drill, running 3 miles everyday. It’s the little things that separate the good from the great.
In my career I have discovered the toughest part about being GREAT is, being GREAT everyday. No days off, no excuses. You can always improve on something. I can’t say that I have mastered ball-handling because I come up with a new move everyday. So therefore being great means, you are always looking to get better, ask questions, and study the game. You become obsessed with OUTWORKING the next player. We all have hoop dreams, but only the GREATS actually live them out. Will that be you?
“Good players workout. Great players OUTWORK.” I think this quote sums it all up. Be great.
