How To Get Recognized On The Court

Players ask me all the time, how can I get recognized? How do I get discovered? How can coaches find out who I am? How will they see me if I’m not the star player, or not even at a major school?

I’ve got the answer. It’s very simple, and I’ll break it down for you in the form of one of my signature quotes: ”You don’t become great in a sold out arena. You become great in a empty gym.”

What does that mean? It means it is impossible to hide greatness. If you put the work in everyday through repetition of jumpshots, weights, and training as hard as you possibly can, eventually you will be discovered. It might not be next week, it might not be next year, but eventually your greatness will be seen.

Sad to say many athletes fail to reach their destiny. Not because they aren’t capable, but because they gave up in search for instant success. Trust me, all the greats have missed many jumpshots along the way before they hit the game winning shot. My point is be patient and continue to work hard. Your greatness won’t go unseen!
