My Basketball Took Me Places

At a very young age I knew what I wanted to accomplish in life. Plain and simple, all I wanted to do is become a professional basketball player and be the best at it. Not just the best in my city, but the best in the world!

So I came up with a plan that if I took my basketball everywhere I went, no player could ever outwork me, keeping in mind that when I went to sleep at night someone on the other side of the world was working on their game, getting better, and I couldn’t live with that!

Despite the fact that people would laugh, I’d take my basketball everywhere. To class, the library, and even lunch. It was at this point in my young basketball by career that I saw a huge improvement in my ball-handling skills. My dribble speed, crossover and game moves started to become unstoppable. I never really had a blueprint of where I would end up after all this practicing, but eventually it led me on a global voyage that has let me touch every aspect of the globe.

Never forgetting where I come from, I still pack my basketball in my bag for my roadtrips. It’s funny I have gotten into the habit of taking pictures with my basketball in front of various global landmarks such as the “The Great Wall Of China” and “The Eiffel Tower.” Now on my fourth passport, it just goes to show you that “I took my basketball everywhere. Now my basketball takes me everywhere!” Anything is possible.
